ABOUT
Tucker Schwinn is a Midwest based photographer with deep interests in documenting subcultures, small craft businesses, industrial settings, and portraiture.
While earning a BFA in Photography from Columbia College Chicago, Tucker worked as a Photography TA while putting in hours in bike shops and playing Hardcourt Bike Polo.
His photography projects focused around documenting bike polo and bicycle frame builders he met through bike shops, friends and family.
After graduating in 2010, Tucker worked for SRAM Corporation, a large US-based bicycle parts maker; in Dealer Service and Aftermarket Product.
In 2017, he returned home to work alongside his father, Richard Schwinn, at Waterford Precision Cycles.
While at Waterford, Tucker had many roles that included: photography, social media, product development, inspection, giving tours, machining, final detailing of finished bicycle frames and shipping.
In 2023, the Waterford bicycle factory closed its doors. Tucker helped manage the shut down while photographing the shop afterhours.
